Hannah & Tom – Hazel Gap Barn Wedding Photography
You may have stumbled across this post whilst looking for Hazel Gap Barn wedding photography, and you’re in luck as Hannah & Tom’s is packed full of beautiful autumnal loveliness!
The preparation
Hannah, Tom and I met a couple of times before the wedding, one of which was a pre-shoot at Newstead Abbey in the summer, we had a great time and it was really good practice for the wedding day. You can take a look at some of the images from their pre shoot here.
I spent the morning with Hannah and her bridal party. I always enjoy the buzz of bridal prep on the morning of the wedding; the mixture of nerves, being pampered, drinking in the AM and being surrounded by some your favourite people is a wonderful and unique experience, and I absolutely love documenting it.
The ceremony
Hannah & Tom married at Bilsthorpe church, and after being declared husband and wife they made their first steps into married life through a shower of autumn leaves!
The wedding reception
The newlyweds chose to celebrate their wedding day at Hazel Gap Barn and I was delighted to return here to document their day for them.
Hazel Gap Barn have created a beautiful space for people to celebrate their wedding day, in addition to this the setting means that there are many opportunities for photographs, whatever the weather.
All of the little touches at this wedding were just lovely; the family tartan blankets, grandmas baskets for the confetti and the reference to their love of history, it all came together brilliantly and perfectly complemented the venue.
The dress
We have to talk about Hannah’s dress! She wore a stunning Jenny Packham gown with a gorgeous cathedral length veil, which looked amazing in the autumn light, especially when the light wind picked it up and gave us some lovely swishy veil pictures!
The party
There were some definite first dance goals at this wedding! The night time entertainment was a swing band, with Hannah’s Dad taking centre stage on the trumpet! What a fabulous way to get the party started!
