Let Love Sparkle!

7 ways to prepare for an epic sparkler send off

Make them big

When buying your sparklers for your sparkler send off, it’s a good idea to get the extra long ones so that they burn for at least 30 seconds. This gives your photographer the opportunity to capture as much of the action as possible, and also makes up for any of your guests who get excited and light theirs before everyone else!

Light them up

It’s really tricky to get every sparkler lit at the same time, and you want as many as possible to get the best effect. I suggest supplying your guests with lighters over matches; one lighter per couple will ensure that everyone lights their sparklers at the same time.

Timing

You could consider announcing your sparkler send off immediately after your wedding breakfast, that way you get all your guests together easily, and it may also help your venue to move the guests on in the event that they need to turn the room over.

The sensible bit – check with the venue

Always be sure to let your venue know you’re planning a sparkler send off, just in case they have any safety rules in place.

Prepare for a little bit of chaos

Sparkler send offs are often ever so slightly chaotic (in a fun way!). Your photographer will give some direction to your guests and give you an indication about when to light them. Listen out for your photographer in case they give you some direction during the madness!

Order more than you think you need

The more sparklers there are, the better the effect! I recommend you supply at least two per guest.

The most important bit…have fun!
