Sheffield Wedding Venue
Styled Shoot at Abbeydale picture house – a unique Sheffield Wedding Venue
It goes without saying that I like weddings; traditional, rustic and urban, I like them all!
I always love to admire the creativity people invest into the styling of their wedding day. It’s those little details that have probably taken weeks (maybe even months!) of planning and crafting that make the day more personal. The wonderful thing about weddings is that pretty much anything goes; people can style and organise their day exactly as its suits them.
A 1920’s Picture Palace
Recently re-opening its doors to the public after years of use as a furniture storage facility, The Abbeydale picture house is a 1920’s picture palace which has retained it’s original features and decor, making it a bold and unique choice for a wedding venue.
Abbeydale picture house is incredibly atmospheric, with beams of natural light pouring in from the windows. The open brick work and cracked plaster give the building an urban and industrial feel to it, and I just adore the combination of colours; gold, cream and turquoise to name a few.
Styling
Bowen Dryden supplied some stunning two piece outfits for the shoot, and E & W couture provided some intricate and feminine gowns which contrasted perfectly against the urban and industrial setting.
All of the outfits were complemented with jewellery designed by the fabulous Halo & Co and shoes by Faber Novella, and I have a new found love for pampas grass all thanks to our friends at Campbells flowers.
