Peak District Engagement Shoot

This is Katie and Adi. They are planning their wedding for Spring 2019, and were engaged earlier this year on the Great Wall of China. Whilst it would have been great to head back to the Great Wall for a shoot, it was just a tad too far to travel, and so Katie and Adi selected the glorious Peak District as the back drop for their engagement shoot, and I was more than happy to oblige! 

As a Nottingham based photographer, I’m lucky enough to have the Peak District pretty much on my doorstep, and for Katie and Adi it’s also a place where they spend a lot of time walking and camping, so it felt like the perfect location for their winter shoot. 

It was a typical grey and rainy British winters day, but in true British fashion we continued on with our plans and drove out to the Monsal Trail for some pictures around the viaduct and alongside the River Wye. 

It was a really relaxed afternoon and we pretty much had the place to ourselves (probably because the sensible people stayed indoors!) which made for some amazing atmospheric shots. 

To finish off the shoot, we took a drive over to the Lady Bower reservoir, and then the thick grey mist descended! 

Ok, yes it was a little wet and cold, but I think you’ll agree that the end result was totally worth it….
